Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners of all abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a supportive and high-performing Humanities department.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
  • Maintain strong classroom management and high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the History curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous teaching experience is essential, with a passion for bringing History to life in the classroom.
