The role
We’re looking for Teaching Assistants to support schools in Barnsley. This is a great opportunity to build experience in Education while working in supportive, welcoming school environments. While many roles are long-term, we aim to offer flexibility where possible.
What you’ll be doing

• Supporting pupils in class, including SEN and KS1/KS2 learners
• Helping with phonics, learning activities, and classroom routines
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Working alongside teachers to support lessons and student progress
• Keeping track of pupil development and sharing updates where needed

What we’re looking for

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children in an Education setting (preferred, not essential)
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (preferred, not essential)
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach
• Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset
