Teach Match Education is working with a well-known and respected school in Wigan to find a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students and helping them achieve their full potential.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to provide tailored support for students, helping them engage with the curriculum and succeed academically. You will work both one-on-one and in small groups, assisting with learning activities and offering emotional and behavioural support where needed. Your role will be vital in ensuring a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student growth.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with various learning needs in both 1:1 and small group settings
  • Assist the teacher in preparing resources and classroom activities
  • Help manage student behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment
  • Provide feedback on student progress to teachers and parents
  • Encourage student participation and confidence

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students in a classroom setting (preferably as a Teaching Assistant)
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students
  • A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
