About the Role:
We at Teach Match are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Tameside. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to support students in their learning journey. As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside teachers to provide essential classroom support and contribute to the overall success of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students in their learning.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs or who require extra assistance.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging students to actively engage with their learning.
• Support students in developing key skills, including literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour in a positive and effective manner.
• Support the preparation of learning materials and resources.
• Monitor and track student’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher as necessary.
• Ensure student’s safety and well-being throughout the school day.

Requirements:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working in a classroom setting, ideally in primary or secondary schools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A patient and caring approach, with a genuine desire to help students succeed.
• An understanding of how to support children with different learning needs.
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and support a diverse range of learners.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
