We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated and supportive team in the Manchester area. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEND in both individual and group settings.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to ensure student’s needs are met.
  • Help create and implement personalised learning plans.
  • Assist in the delivery of lessons, ensuring students are engaged and making progress.
  • Provide personal care and ensure the welfare of students as required.
  • Monitor and track student’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet the individual needs of students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with SEND students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEND, including autism, learning disabilities, and other specific needs.
  • A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, SEND experience).
